Laurie’s professional experience makes her a uniquely qualified therapist Laurie Reese has worked as a massage therapist for over a decade. Above all, she prides herself on giving personal attention to each client. “I listen to what my client’s needs are, focusing on what their muscles and tissues say.” While maintaining a very reliable client list, Laurie has also worked at the Allen Edwards Serenity Spa and the Burke Williams Day Spa. She has also provided chair massages for the cast and crew of TV shows, (Drew Carey, Grey’s Anatomy), and on movie sets. Laurie has been formally trained at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, and is a long-standing member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. Laurie has also used her extensive knowledge of massage to create a company, Imprints, which offers vendors the use of chair massage as a form of marketing at trade shows, conventions and special events. Before becoming a massage therapist, Laurie was a Julliard-trained dancer, which explains why she has a vast understanding of the unique benefits massage and bodywork can have for dancers and athletes. Laurie was brought to bodywork after suffering a devastating back injury so severe that her own back could not sustain her. Her 5 year rehabilitative process led to her interest in the healing arts. MEMBERSHIPS: Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), since 2000 National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), since 1997 TESTIMONIALS: “I find hands-on-healing (Reiki) provides a deep level of comfort and assurance…The touch isn’t like that of a husband or kids it’s not asking for anything but instead it’s giving. It feels like I’m being taken care of, and if anything happened to me at that moment, there would be someone watching out for my safety…” Bonnie Winnings “The Mullholland Tennis Club is fortunate to have Laurie Reese as its massage therapist. I have had massages from Esalen to Rancho del Puerto, and Laurie is the best." Julia DeMuth “From the moment I see Laurie's gentle face, my body begins to relax and let go knowing that for the next hour of my day she will nurture and heal me. I trust Laurie completely, which is essential to me. Their not just about sore muscle, Laurie’s heartfelt therapy balances body and soul.” Susan Baldinger “My idea of a perfect Saturday morning is a couple hours of doubles tennis followed by a hot sauna and shower, then and hour of therapeutic massage at the hands of MTC’s masseuse Laurie Reese. On to the dining room for brunch where my friends see the sweet Mel is back.” Dr. Mel Remba Laurie makes every Tuesday afternoon one of our best days of the week. We look forward to seeing her and feel great afterwards. We’re both 87. We were actively athletic throughout our 61 year marriage. During the massage we fantasize we can still ski and play tennis all over again. It’s not Laurie’s fault we can’t, but she sure makes us feel we could. Irving & Beatrice Zeiger As mother of 2 year old twin girls the Ashiatsu massage has changed my body. Not only do you get the regular benefits of a massage but it totally restructures your body. It has improved both my posture and sleep. I would recommend Laurie and her Ashiatsu massage to everyone! Eva Sotere Did you know that the definition for transformed is LAURIE REESE? It's true. And, unless you're a sucker for feeling great, don't you dare allow yourself to be restored, nurtured, healed and revitalized by her... I mean truly transformed... because well, it's a sin to feel good, right? Oh, I'm a sinner... a weekly sinner and an addict of the highest order... I've had hundreds of hours of bodywork, and Laurie is my favorite therapist. Blessed be my holy body temple under the care of this grounded and gifted healer. Jaimsyne Blakely
