ASHIATSU ORIENTAL BAR THERAPY™

"The Deepest Most Luxurious Massage on the Planet"

Ashiatsu is an ancient form of bodywork brought to us through Buddhist monks, first from China and then from Thailand & Japan. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, sometimes referred to as barefoot shiatsu, is well documented, effective technique for the treatment of chronic lower back and neck pain and is recognized by the American Medical Association.

This unique modality has very deep, soothing strokes that applied to all muscles of the back by using foot pressure to milk the muscles, open chakras and release toxins. This treatment is guaranteed to induce deep relaxation, relieve tight inflammation and stimulate the body’s own self-healing capabilities.

ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

"The Alexander Technique is a method that works to change (movement) habits in our everyday activities. It is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. The technique teaches the use of the appropriate amount of effort for a particular activity, giving you more energy for all your activities. It is not a series of treatments or exercises, but rather a reeducation of the mind and body. The Alexander Technique is a method which helps a person discovers a new balance in the body by releasing unnecessary tension. It can be applied to sitting, lying down, standing, walking, lifting, and other daily activities..."

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Pregnancy is a time of major structural, physiological, psychological, spiritual, and social changes. Some of these changes produce discomforts and concerns, which can be addressed with appropriate massage therapy and body use guidance. Pregnancy or pre-natal massage therapy is beneficial throughout the nine months of a low-risk pregnancy. If you are not having a low risk pregnancy, discuss your condition with your physician or midwife. After further discussion, you may be able to receive therapy with additional written release.

Massage therapy in pregnancy can include specific light and deep pressure massage, myofascial techniques, circulatory work, acupressure, reflexology, and other techniques.
